November 14, 2023 – Five BaneCare centers are among the top 19% of U.S. skilled nursing facilities that have been recognized as a Best Nursing Home for 2023-2024 by U.S. News & World Report.

The homes earned Best Nursing Homes status by achieving a rating of “High Performing,” the highest possible rating, for Short-Term Rehabilitation and/or Long-Term Care. U.S. News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those homes that satisfy U.S. News’s assessment of the appropriate use of key services and consistent performance in quality measures.

“Our teams have worked tirelessly, especially throughout the pandemic, to provide exceptional care to our patients and residents, said Kevin Morris, president of BaneCare. “Receiving this recognition is only made possible by maintaining high patient safety standards, along with a tremendous amount of teamwork. I appreciate each one of our hardworking staff members whose efforts have made this success possible.”

Now in its 14th year, the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings and profiles offer comprehensive information about quality of care. To calculate the Best Nursing Homes ratings, U.S. News evaluated each nursing home’s performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from CMS. The U.S. News methodology factors in data such as data on resident care, safety, outcomes and other aspects of quality. Both short- and long-term ratings include data on nurse staffing, use of antipsychotic drugs and success in preventing ER and hospital visits. The long-term care rating also includes measures of whether a home changed ownership and how well they were staffed on weekends.
