John Scott House
233 Middle Street • Braintree, MA 02184 • December 12, 2017

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the management, owners and staff members at John Scott House for the services and care provided to my mother, Dorothy A., during her stay there from June of 2012 until her passing there on November 16, 2017 just after her 94th birthday. Over that five and a half years there were many issues and challenges from day to day, but I have to say the services could not have been better, in every situation.

At first, I was concerned that the care she might receive would not be as good as I wanted her to have, but quickly learned that she was in better hands there, than she was at home. From the beginning, the staff handling her showed their skill and compassion, their concern for her, and their dedication to providing the finest possible level of care for their patients. When the ownership changed recently, I was again concerned that that level might change. I was delighted that the new ownership allowed that level of care to continue at its high standard, and commend the owners for that.

The staff on the floor of Florence One, where my mom stayed her entire time there, were fantastic with her. Kara G., Florence D., Geurdy L., Ana F., Peg B., Sally I., Terri C., Shannon C., Michelle H., Lynn K., Karen H., Natalia L., pat D., Delores W., and Diana C. I mention each of their names here, and hope I haven’t missed any of them, because they provided me with the peace of mind that my mom was being cared for every minute of the day with the best care they could possibly provide. I am so grateful for all they did for her. I know she was not an easy case at times, but they were all wonderful at what they did for her.

The other staff, Mary G., Donna G., Marion “the entertainment committee”, Mary Ann A., the receptionists, Maria L., and the maintenance folks were also cordial and helpful, not just now and then, but always. Often when I was visiting her sitting in the hallway, as they passed by they would stop and say hi and chat with her or me.

To sum it up, I could been more pleased with the choice I made bringing her here to John Scott House, and am so grateful to every one of you for making me so happy with that decision.

To the managers and owners, keep up the good work, and support the people you have working on staff there, they are doing a great job with all the issues and challenges they face providing such a high standard of care. For my part, thank you isn’t enough to say to acknowledge what you all did for me and my mom, but it is truly appreciated.

Feel free to share this letter with anyone you feel it might be appropriate to show it to, a new patient or their family members trying to make decision on admittance, any of the reviewing state agencies evaluating your facility, or for any purpose you may see fit.

Thank you again.

Sincerely, – Raymond A.

Bay Path
It is so difficult to put into words out heartfelt appreciation for the supportive care that our loved one, Bill A. received at Bay Path. We realize that it’s not an easy job for any of you with constant demands and needs of your residents being a daily consideration. Everyone from the welcoming ladies at the front desk, the staff at the desk at Alden, the administration, the nursing and the social worker staff, the CNAS, food service, maintenance, speech and physical therapy all provided an exceptional level of care.

In particular, I would like to thank the CNAs who work “hands on: daily providing direct physical and emotional support in such a loving and dignified way. As a daily visitor in the eight years Bill was a resident, I was witness to their capabilities and professionalism. Each and every one of you are amazing human beings. You made Bill’s life safe and happy. How can we ever thank you? I don’t think we can. With gratitude and admiration,

– Lauren A. and Family.

Seacoast
I’d like to take this opportunity to extend our sincerest thanks to the staff of both the Addison Gilbert Hospital and the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Over the last few months, my father was a patient at both facilities. He’s now able to continue his stroke recovery care at home. We credit his progress to first, the Gloucester Fire Department, the ER staff at AGH, the attending specialists, nursing staff, aides, nutritionists, therapists, and nurse practitioners.

And to Seacoast, the therapists, the wonderful aides and nurses, kitchen staff, housekeeping, hairdressers, social workers, insurance coordinator, and the always cheerful receptionist. We want to make sure your hard work and experience, your commitment to providing hope and encouragement, and in making your patients feel safe and well, does not go unnoticed”

John Scott House
I spent three weeks on the Florence wing of John Scott House recuperating from a shoulder replacement. I have been to other rehabs and never get the quality of care that I received at John Scott. All patients are treated equally with a smile and respect. I can’t thank you enough for your care and special attention.

– Miss you all, Karen B.
