Seeking a full time evening cook 12pm-7pm including every other weekend.
Weekend Shift Differential
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with daily meal preparation and service ensuring food prepared according to standardized recipes
Maintain Kitchen, Food storage and preparation areas in a clean and safe and sanitary condition. Ensure thorough completion of work assignments and cleanliness of kitchen at all times.
Responsible for opening and closing of kitchen. Assume responsibility for all kitchen operation in absence of supervisors.
Adhere to cleaning schedules and regulatory food safety standards and practices.
Document food temperatures, refrigerator temperature and freezer temperatures.
Able to maintain and use all kitchen equipment appropriately and safely.
Assist and supervise staff in daily operation of kitchen
Skills needed
Previous cooking experience in restaurant and long -term care facility or hospital setting, particularly with Supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge of nutrition and sanitation suggested. Must possess and maintain Serv Safe (HACCP) certification
Dependability and mature judgment in problem solving situations. Ability to provide direction to staff when needed.
Able to speak, read and write English.
